Sanity System Guide
Master stamina management and Sanity efficiency
Sanity is Arknights: Endfield's stamina system that gates your progression through Protocol Spaces and material farming. Understanding how to manage Sanity efficiently is critical for long-term account growth.
What is Sanity?
Sanity functions as your energy resource for running Protocol Spaces, which are instanced missions that reward operator experience, promotion materials, weapon materials, and skill upgrade items. Unlike some gacha games, Endfield has no stamina overflow system—when you hit your cap, regeneration stops completely.
Sanity Regeneration Rate
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Regeneration Rate | 1 Sanity every 7 minutes 12 seconds |
| Per Hour | ~8.33 Sanity |
| Per Day (24 hours) | ~200 Sanity |
| Regenerates Until | Current cap (no overflow) |
Your Sanity regenerates passively at a rate of 1 Sanity every 7 minutes and 12 seconds. This continues until you reach your current Sanity cap, which increases as you level your Authority Level.
Critical rule: Sanity stops regenerating once you hit cap. Never let your Sanity sit at maximum capacity or you waste passive regeneration.
How to Recover Sanity
Emergency Sanity Boosters (Potions)
Emergency Sanity Boosters are consumable items that instantly restore approximately 40 Sanity when used. These are limited resources obtained through:
- Event rewards
- Daily/weekly missions
- Battle Pass rewards
- Special login bonuses
Best practice: Save these for material farming events or when you need to rush specific upgrades. Don't waste them on routine daily farming.
Origeometry Exchange
You can exchange Origeometry (premium currency) for Sanity at the following rate:
| Exchange | Cost |
|---|---|
| 40 Sanity | 1 Origeometry |
Where to get Origeometry:
- Originium Exchange (premium currency conversion)
- Story Mission rewards
- Operation Manual rewards
- Deliver Aurylene at TP Points
- Sub-Energy Allevium rewards
Warning: Origeometry is also used for gacha pulls. Only use Origeometry for Sanity refills as a last resort—never for routine farming.
How to Increase Sanity Cap
Your maximum Sanity cap increases by +5 Sanity each time you raise your Authority Level (your account level).
Authority Level increases by earning Operational EXP, which you gain from:
- Completing Protocol Spaces
- Finishing story missions
- Daily/weekly quests
- Exploration objectives
The maximum Sanity cap at Authority Level 60 is currently unknown but estimated to be around 500-600 Sanity.
Where to Spend Sanity
Protocol Spaces are the primary Sanity sink. Each specializes in specific material types:
| Protocol Space | Rewards | Priority |
|---|---|---|
| Protocol Space: Skill Up | Protoprism, Protohedron, Operational EXP | High (needed for all operators) |
| Protocol Space: Promotions | Protodisks, Protosets, Operational EXP | High (needed for level caps) |
| Protocol Space: Weapon EXP | Arms Inspector materials, Operational EXP | Medium |
| Protocol Space: Weapon Tune | Cast Die, Heavy Cast Die, Operational EXP | Medium-High |
| Protocol Space: Operation EXP | Operational EXP only | Low (inefficient) |
| Protocol Space: T-Creds | T-Creds, Operational EXP | Low |
Daily Sanity spending priority:
- Skill materials (Protoprism/Protohedron) for operators you're actively using
- Promotion materials (Protodisks/Protosets) when approaching level cap breakpoints (20, 40, 60, 80)
- Weapon Tuning materials (Cast Die/Heavy Cast Die) for weapon progression
- Everything else only after core needs are met
Optimal Sanity Management Strategy
Daily Routine
Morning (or first login):
- Check current Sanity
- Spend at least 120-160 Sanity on Protocol Spaces before Sanity caps
- Prioritize materials you need for immediate operator upgrades
Evening (or second login):
- Spend accumulated Sanity again
- Complete any remaining daily quests that reward Sanity items
Before bed:
- Spend Sanity down to ~20-40 so it regenerates overnight without capping
Long-term Strategy
- Never let Sanity cap during active play periods
- Stockpile Emergency Sanity Boosters for events or urgent farming needs
- Plan Origeometry refills carefully—only during limited-time farming events
- Farm materials proactively before you need them, not reactively when you're stuck
Common Sanity Mistakes
Letting Sanity cap for hours: You lose regeneration permanently
✅ Spend Sanity at least twice daily to maximize efficiency
Using Origeometry for daily farming: Wastes premium currency
✅ Save Origeometry for gacha pulls unless it's an emergency
Hoarding Emergency Sanity Boosters forever: They have limited value sitting unused
✅ Use them strategically during events or when rushing operator builds
Ignoring Authority Level: Slows Sanity cap growth
✅ Complete dailies and story missions to increase Authority Level consistently
Sanity vs. Other Gacha Stamina Systems
Compared to other gacha games:
- No overflow/storage system: Unlike Genshin Impact (160 cap + Fragile Resin), Endfield has no backup reserve
- Faster regeneration: 1 Sanity per 7.2 minutes is faster than most competitors
- Lower refill cost: 1 Origeometry for 40 Sanity is reasonable compared to other games' premium refills
This makes Sanity management more forgiving overall, but the lack of overflow means you must log in regularly to avoid waste.
FAQ
Q: Should I use Origeometry to refill Sanity?
A: Only during limited events or if you're a spender. Free-to-play players should save Origeometry for gacha pulls.
Q: How many Emergency Sanity Boosters can I use per day?
A: There's no daily limit, but you receive limited quantities from events and missions.
Q: What happens if I don't spend Sanity for days?
A: It caps and stops regenerating. You waste all potential regeneration during that time—a significant efficiency loss.
Q: Can I increase Sanity regeneration speed?
A: No. The rate is fixed at 1 Sanity per 7 minutes 12 seconds for all players.
Q: Is there a weekly Sanity cap?
A: No. You can farm Protocol Spaces as much as your Sanity allows.
